DÉSIRÉE SCUCCUGLIA was born in Terni and started piano studies at young age, achieving diploma with the maximum votation, with merit and honour mention under the guide of Maestro F.Mastroianni and she specialized under the guide of M°M.Marvulli, M°L.Passaglia and M°B.Canino.
She achieved a three-years high specialisation diploma in chamber music at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia Foundation in Rome, under the guide of R. Filippini, with the maximum votation and she won Guarino scholarship for best performers.
She has a high practice in chamber music, and has specialized with the Trio di Trieste at the Accademia Chigiana and the Scuola Superiore di Musica da Camera in Duino, with the Trio di Milano at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. She was the winner of many scholarships and competitions, both as a soloist and for chamber music, and since the teen-age she held recitals for the most important national and foreign Associations (performing various tours as a soloist in the past-Soviet Union and as pianist and celesta with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma : China, Germany, Austria, Greece, Great Britain, Poland, USA). She is Maestro Rocco Filippinis piano-assistant at the International Music Campus in Sermoneta, and she worked as piano assistant at orchestral training courses at Orchestra Giovanile Italiana (Italian Youth Orchestra) in Fiesole, at A. Toscanini Foundation in Parma and for Special Courses at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
She was piano-assistant in the master classes held by D. Clevenger, G. Corti, R. Baborak, P. De Ritis, M. Pierobon, R. Bobo, B.Belkin, A.Persichilli etc.
She recorded as soloist A.Casella Concert op.69 for piano percussion and strings with Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma conducted by Maestro La Vecchia for Naxos XIX Century Italian classic.
In march 2010 she was awarded the Foyer des artistes 2010 prize for carrer at the Aula Magna of University La Sapienza Roma.
She is working as pianist and as musical assistant at the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma of the Arts Academy Foundation, conducted by Maestro Francesco La Vecchia. |
