With an extensive background in classical and contemporary idioms, Diane Lindsay is a Los Angeles composer/arranger, recording artist, producer and music director. As keyboardist and/or electric bassist, she has performed from Royce Hall/ to Carnegie Hall with acts ranging from The Limeliters, Patti Page and Dusty Springfield. More recently, she has been a soloist at Walt Disney Hall's Redcat Theater playing for Sofia Gubadulina and the Cage Centennial, as well as appearing with orchestra at Redcat in 2012.
She has produced scores of independent artists winning BAM and NAIRD awards for "Best Independent Production". Of the three albums of her own work, she was awarded the rare distinction of a "Critic's Choice Single of the Week" by Billboard magazine.
Her recording credits include over 80 albums; her songs have been recorded by many artists and featured on stage, HBO, award-winning documentaries, as well as national and international radio.
Diane has over thirty years experience as a vocal, chamber, musical theater, choral, and liturgical accompanist and music director, including fifteen years on staff at Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church, sixteen years for The Angel City Chorale, and four years at Temple Isaiah in West Los Angeles.
As an instructor, Diane has served as adjunct faculty at The Institute for the Musical Arts (N.Y.), mentored selected students privately and as a guest instructor throughout Los Angeles.
Her B.F.A is from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). On a merit scholarship, she is currently completing her M.F.A. there in Performance and Composition.
