My name is Julin Ooi, from Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Am 20 years old. I come from a family with music background and was highly influenced by my mother who was a former music teacher. One of my younger brother is a guitarist and parents are very supportive in music education.

I was accepted to play with the Malaysian Youth Philharmonic Orchestra back in year 2012 when I was age 19. Since age 3, I study music under Yamaha Music School Malaysia based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and was awarded by Mr. Shuji Ito the Advanced Certificate in Yamaha Fundamentals Grade 5 in year 2009.

Before I pursue my Diploma in Music in SEGi College Subang Jaya, I was awarded the Grade 8 Piano Certificate by The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in year 2010.

I started my Diploma in Music in 2011. I have been invited to perform in various formal events organized by SEGi College. In year 2012, I was elected as the Music Department President. During the Music Department 9th Annual Concert, I was the piano accompanist for few vocalist and was also the pianist for the ensemble group. I performed as a solo pianist in SEGi College's recent Earth Hour Event and the Live Music Pre- Event with a Chinese folk song entitled 'Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon' by Wang Jian Zong and Mendelssohn's Rondo Cappriccioso Op. 14 respectively.

Currently I have 4 students in total, age ranging from 6-12. They are beginners and Grade 4 learners. I started teaching since mid 2011 when Mr Lee See Guan, my piano teacher recommended a beginner student under my supervision and teachings.
