Laura-Claire Howard was 9 years old when she gained a place at The Purcell School of Music to study piano with Tessa Nicholson, on a government scholarship. She won many festivals throughout the East Midlands and London and has made Television appearances on Carol Vordeman’s ‘Mysteries’ & the ‘Esther Rantzen’ chat show on gifted children. She then studied with Norma Fisher at Chetham’s School of Music where she gained 2nd place in the Junior Beethoven Intercollegiate competition held by The European Beethoven Society & won a place at the European Youths Summer Music course where she peformed a Mozart piano concerto with the orchestra. Laura-Claire has now graduated from the RSAMD with an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music scholarship, under the tuition of Fali Pavri. She had piano and singing pupils which she taught privately in Glasgow and had also helped in teaching and accompanying group projects at Sacred Heart Primary School in Bridgeton. Her accompanying career has included work with The UK Theatre School, and has also worked with students on the Bmus and Musical Theatre courses at the RSAMD. Now based in Nottingham, and is available for teaching of piano, singing and music theory to all abilities from beginner to advanced.
